My vehicle was unfortunately damaged in a collision so I took it to Heaton’s Garage in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire for an estimate for the repairs, which they duly provided. Nearly 12 months later the Police had finally finished their investigations, the third party insurers (Equity Red Star) had sent their assessor out and the repairs were authorised. For various reasons I never took my car back to Heatons for the repair work. However, Heatons submitted their invoice, including falsified documentation supposedly indicating I was happy with the repairs. The insurers promptly paid the invoice. Quite some time after this I became aware of this fraudulent action by the garage and hence am in the process of recovering the monies owed to myself. Based on my experience with this garage I would not trust them to repair any vehicle of mine nor can I recommend anyone take theirs there either. They are a dishonest business
